We were so happy to deliver our Mama Kits, Food Kits, and Dental Kits for their Kids! These kits provide holiday help for our local refugee and African-American families.

The Tucson Chapter of The Links, Incorporated hopes everyone participated in the US Census this year!

                    Helping Out During These Trying Times 

We have delivered 12 Links’ Home Kits to seniors and families in our community to help during these critical times. Each kit is filled with cleaning supplies, snacks, water, ice tea, engraved Links mug with green tea, paper goods (facial tissue, paper towels, toilet tissue), soap, hand sanitizer, gloves, etc). We also included supplies for home studies, reading materials and educational toys for a family with four boys.  

                        UA Sarver Heart Center Presentation

We had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Khadijah Breathett of UA’s Sarver Heart Center at our February 2020 General Meeting. She gave a fantastic presentation on heart health in the African-American community. We thank both Dr. Breathett and Minority Outreach Health Advocate, Wanda Moore, for the enlightening and critical information.

                      NSBE Jr. Tucson Chapter Kickoff

In December 2019 , the Tucson chapter of The Links, Incorporated also established a National Society of Black Engineer (NSBE) Jr. Chapter with Mansfeld Magnet Middle School of the Tucson Unified School District (TUSD). Our Sponsor is Raytheon Technologies. We appreciate all of the assistance from our sponsors and community partners to meet this great accomplishment Mr. Jimmy Hart TUSD’s Director of African American Student Services and Mr. Eric Brown a teacher at Mansfeld Magnet Middle School.

                 Links Friendship Month – November 2019

We had the absolute pleasure of gathering to celebrate Friendship Month at Vivace Italian Restaurant. Fellowship and sisterhood are crucial driving factors as we continue or mission to serve the community together.
